Abstract

The Social Media Guidelines of ORF, Austria’s public service media, are based on international best practice examples and require the maintenance of fundamental ORF principles such as objectivity, balance, diversity of opinion, impartiality, and independence. It is a binding framework for the responsible use of social media among all employees. Since it is not always possible to separate work and private life in the digital age, these Guidelines may also apply to the private social media use of ORF representatives.
