Abstract

These voluntary Guidelines for Journalistic Ethics and Quality Journalism by Verein Freies Radio Wien (Radio ORANGE 94.0) aim to provide principles and standards for journalists in terms of trustworthiness, accuracy, impartiality, transparency, accountability, integrity, fairness, and privacy. The Guidelines are applicable to all journalists regardless of their medium. They are grounded on various principles and sources such as the Code of Ethics of the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, self-regulation mechanisms, and working guidelines from outlets like the BBC, The Guardian, and The New York Times. The guidelines are based on The Public Interest Journalism Handbook, which was developed by the Institute of Communication Studies (Skopje, Macedonia).
