Abstract

The Code of Ethics for Prosecutors applies to all prosecutors of the Republic of Estonia. The Code creates general rules of conduct and contains multiple principles that cover areas such as honour and dignity, independence, avoidance of conflicts of interest, dignified and courteous communication, membership in civic organisations and activities that might have an effect on the reputation of the prosecutor’s office. The Code also describes the procedures of the Prosecutors’ Ethics Council.
