Abstract

Szabad Pécs is an example of independent quality journalism in rural Hungary. The news portal, which focuses primarily on the current affairs of Southwest Hungary, has laid down the most important Principles of content production and editorial independence in its Principles of journalistic ethics. In addition, to ensure transparency, it maintains public communication about its supporters and the grants which contribute to the portal’s survival.
