Abstract

The Code of Ethics of the Klaipeda City Municipal Administration applies to all its staff. ​It aims to establish ethical values, principles, and general requirements of conduct for employees to enhance the image of local government, prevent corruption, promote responsibility, and ensure respect for the law and others. ​The purpose of the Code of Ethics is to regulate the ethical values and standards of conduct for staff, raise awareness of moral standards, promote selfless service to society and the state, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure fairness, impartiality, and professionalism in the performance of duties. ​
