Our representative from the University of Ljubljana prof. dr. Marko Milosavljević took part in the Forum F3ŽO consultation titled “News: How to Separate the Wheat from the Chaff?”, organised within the framework of the Festival for the Third Age (F3ŽO).

The Festival for the Third Age is the largest event for older adults in Europe, first established in 1999. We invite you to find out more on this link.

The roundtable discussion addressed one of the key challenges of today’s media environment: how to read and understand news critically, and how to protect ourselves from false, misleading, or even harmful information. Participants explored how disinformation often appears in everyday life, disguised as credible and trustworthy content. They focused on concrete, familiar examples such as suspicious emails and phone messages, fake prize draws, misleading advertisements and health advice, as well as news stories designed to provoke fear or distrust.

We thank you the festival for inviting our representative, who presented our work at DIACOMET as well.
