Abstract

The Code of Ethics of OTP banka d.d. and OTP Group Slovenia sets out the core ethical principles, values, and standards of conduct expected from employees, management, group companies, and external partners. It emphasizes integrity, accountability, customer focus, excellence, collaboration, legal compliance, confidentiality, responsible communication, anti-corruption, conflict-of-interest management, human rights, equal treatment, and sustainability. The Code also establishes procedures for reporting breaches, protects whistleblowers from retaliation, and provides for sanctions in cases of violations. In addition, it addresses contemporary governance issues such as data protection, anti-money laundering, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence. Employees are expected to communicate professionally, transparently, respectfully, and without offensive, discriminatory, misleading, vulgar, or hateful content. On social media, they must act carefully, protect the bank’s reputation, respect others’ religious, national, ethnic, gender, political, and philosophical views, and avoid creating the impression that they speak on behalf of the bank without authorization.
