DIACOMET partners publish special Communications issue on dialogic communication and civic resilience

DIACOMET partners have published five open-access articles in a special thematic issue of Communications, titled From Professional Accountability to Dialogic Communication and Civic Resilience. Guest-edited by Epp Lauk and Auksė Balčytienė of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), the section brings together research closely connected to DIACOMET’s core areas of work.

The contributions address dialogic communication ethics, civic resilience, media accountability, vulnerability, public communication and the role of journalism and media policy in contemporary democracies. The five articles are:

Published on 9 July 2026, the special section contributes to ongoing debates about how more accountable, inclusive and dialogic forms of communication can strengthen democratic resilience and help societies respond to contemporary communication challenges.
