Abstract

The Code of Ethics for the Association of Translation Agencies of Lithuania sets ethical and operational norms for its members, focusing on honest relationships with all stakeholders and promoting the value of professional translation services. It prohibits actions that could harm the Association’s reputation, disallows unfair criticism among members, and mandates confidentiality and data security. The Code insists on accurate service advertising, adherence to quality standards, and the importance of addressing client complaints promptly. It also specifies fair practices in working with translators, including proper selection, provision of resources, professional development opportunities and so on.
