Abstract

The BNS Code of Ethics reflects the Baltic News Service’s commitment to ethical journalism, emphasizing transparency, accuracy, and fairness in its reporting practices in Lithuania. This document sets clear standards for journalistic integrity, prioritizing the delivery of news that is important to society and the public interest. It prohibits external interference in content creation and requires the disclosure of conflicts of interest, ensuring BNS maintains its independence and trustworthiness. Additionally, the Code outlines the responsibilities of the editorial team, promoting a culture where journalists are encouraged to uphold the highest ethical standards and contribute to the organization’s reputation for professionalism and impartiality.
