Abstract

The Code of Ethics in Providing Information to the Public of Lithuania ​by Representatives of organizations producing and spreading public information, as well as members of the Public Information Ethics Association. ​It aims to establish ethical guidelines for the provision of information to the public, sets principles and guidelines for journalists, producers and communicators of public information to ensure fair, accurate, and ethical journalism. ​The Code notes the importance of independence, transparency, protection of personal honour and privacy, and professional solidarity. ​
