This document comprises the Community Guidelines of YouTube, an international video portal based in the US. The Code applies to all contributors and includes an extensive set of Guidelines, as well as linked subpages. With over 45 million users in the EU, YouTube is designated as a very large online platform (VLOPS) by the European Commission and must comply with the strictest rules of the Digital Service Act (DSA). For instance, systematic risks such as illegal content, public safety and health, protection of minors and fundamental rights such as freedom of expression, media freedom and pluralism, discrimination and consumer protection must be taken into account by the platform. The main areas cover spam and deceptive practices, sensitive content, violent and dangerous content, regulated goods, misinformation and educational, documentary, scientific and artistic (EDSA) content. Furthermore, a detailed description of what action YouTube takes for content that violates the Community Guidelines is available.
