Abstract

The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) is a Brussels-based non-profit organization that promotes, develops and supports advertising self-regulatory systems while not being a Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO) itself. The Best Practice Recommendation on Influencer Marketing clarifies the role of self-regulatory organizations in reviewing online influencer content and provides Guidelines for them to develop national Codes. The Code is not formally binding, and a national SRO may adopt it, if suited to the national circumstances and needs.
