Abstract

The European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation that promotes, develops and supports advertising self-regulatory systems while not being a Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO) itself. The Best Practice Recommendation on Digital Marketing Communications is based on the 2018 Advertising and Marketing Communications Code of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and aims to ensure the application of advertising self-regulation in the digital space. The Code is not formally binding, and a national SRO can adopt it, if suited to the national circumstances and needs.
