Abstract

The Equality and Non-Discrimination Plan is the principal guideline of Yle, Finland’s Public Broadcasting Company, and directed at all employees and applicable in all work situations and organizational development. The Plan emphasizes equality and non-discrimination related to employees’ gender, ethnicity, religion, age, and more. The Plan’s aim is to improve workplace well-being and opportunities for career advancement, but also indirectly, through a diverse staff, to increase the diversity and plurality of voices in Yle’s content and journalism.
