Abstract

The ”Communication Guide For Social Unrest Following Serious Violent Incidents” was created by the Netherlands Police. This guide aims to be a tool for the communication people of the police corps and units, both for internal and external use. They can use it to handle (impending) unrest in society communicatively as quickly and as well as possible. The Guide contains, among other things, information on the different roles within the discipline of communication, communicative risks, communication strategy, and communicative principles.
