Abstract

In this “Protocol”, the Dutch national newspaper de Volkskrant outlines the rules for journalistic conduct. The Protocol is a general guideline and applies to all journalistic expressions. In principle, de Volkskrant adheres to the guidelines of the Press Council in the Netherlands, which form part of the basis for this Protocol. De Volkskrant aims to make clear to their audience what they can expect and at the same time provide their journalists and staff with practical and internal agreements.
