The Netherlands Institute for the Classification of Audiovisual Media (NICAM) is the institution responsible for assessing the potential harmfulness of audio-visual products to young people. NICAM works together with media partners in all sectors to provide parents and children with information on the potential risks that audiovisual products may contain, through a rating system called Kijkwijzer. The NICAM Kijkwijzer Regulations consists of viewing rules for affiliates and complaint regulations.
