Abstract

KPN is a provider of telecommunications and ICT services. The “KPN Company Code of Conduct” applies to all employees and consists of four different sub-codes, one of which focusses on how employees should deal with information, communication, and business services. This code mentions how employees should manage company information, deal with the media and social media, and the information and privacy of customers. Principles such as honesty, accuracy, and responsibility are addressed in the Code of Conduct. According to KPN, the rules of conduct of the KPN Company Code of Conduct and sub-codes are not without obligation as they may conduct investigations into the conduct of employees and violations are followed by disciplinary measures.
