Abstract

The Lithuanian Sociological Association’s Ethics Code, sets forth ethical principles for professional and scientific activities in sociology. It mandates members to uphold the highest standards in their work, emphasizing professional competence, honesty, responsibility, respect for human rights and diversity, and social responsibility. The Code guides sociologists in maintaining professional integrity, conducting ethical research, respecting participants’ rights, and responsibly disseminating research findings. It also addresses issues like plagiarism, the educational process, reviewing, and interactions with commissioners and sponsors, ensuring sociologists’ actions benefit society and contribute to the field’s development.
