Abstract

Manifesto published by Republik presents the news organization’s mission statement. Manifesto stresses being ad-free, promoting transparency and producing independent journalism as key features of the news organization. It states that journalism fosters democracy and that Republik contributes to this by providing citizens with facts and context while emphasizing their transparency in doing so, and asserting its independence as a free, citizen-funded news outlet. The Manisfesto states the importance of good language, good pictures and good design when producing news and also stresses the importance of dialogue with audiences.
