Abstract

“Mission Statement” (“Leitbild”) is a paper issued by Verlegerverband Schweizer Medien, Swiss media publishers’ association. The paper presents the association role and core values. For example, it states that the association is committed to the freedom and independence of the private media in relation to politics and business, that it advocates editorial freedom within the framework of publishing responsibility and that it expects fairness in journalism and competition from its members as a maxim of their free entrepreneurial activity and as an expression of their responsibility. It also states that it collaborates with other national and international entities within the framework of its activities.
