Abstract

The Editorial Statutes of die Presse should ensure the freedom and independence of the editorial staff while adhering to the overall stance and professional obligations of the daily newspaper. Die Presse represents bourgeois-liberal views independently of political parties, supports parliamentary democracy and the rule of law, and is committed to social justice. Furthermore, employees are expected to adhere to the Code of Honor of the Austrian Press Council to ensure editorial independence and maintain a clear distinction between editorial content and advertising.
