Abstract

The Principles for a Responsible AI define how Yle, Finland’s Public Broadcasting Company utilizes artificial intelligence in its public service mission. The principles, intended for the entire staff and for all work tasks and processes, emphasize a human-centred approach, consideration of the environment and society, and transparency in the use of AI. The Principles also stress that AI should be developed in a way that promotes diversity and challenges biases or harmful stereotypes.
