Abstract

“The Protection of Children and Youth” code by the Museum of National Liberation Maribor applies to all who are employed, volunteer or work as students at the museum. It aims to prevent child abuse and limit potential incidents between children as well as between adults and children. It contains several communication guidelines, such as: individuals shall be allowed to express their own views; representation of children shall be accurate, balanced and non-sensationalist; degrading or derogatory language and images, inaccurate generalisations and discrimination of any kind shall be avoided.
