Abstract

The Standards of Ethical Journalism by Radio Free Europe/RadioLiberty applies to over 1.700 staff members in more than 20 bureaus. The organisation is one of the most comprehensive news operations in the world and operates in many countries where a free press is banned or not yet fully established. The Code alphabetically deals with more than fifty standards, including accuracy, (false) balance, diversity factors, and hate speech. Violation of the principles may result in disciplinary action.
