Abstract

Code of Ethics of Vytautas Magnus University ​by the Senate of Vytautas Magnus University. The Code is based on various international and national legal documents, as well as internal regulations of Vytautas Magnus University. ​ It applies to the entire University community, including students, lecturers, researchers, and administration staff. The Code aims to promote ethical behaviour, define ethical principles, prevent unethical conduct, and protect the reputation of the University. ​The Code establishes ethical principles and Guidelines for the University community. ​ It aims to foster academic freedom and responsibility, ethical relationships, accountability, and integrity in teaching, science, arts activities, and study processes. ​ The Code addresses various ethical issues such as discrimination, harassment, plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and dishonesty. ​The Ethics Committee is responsible for implementing and enforcing the Code, and violations may result in disciplinary actions
