On 26 January 2026, Christina Krakovsky, Marina Lindmeyr and Marie Rathmann, supported by Andreas Schulz-Tomančok, conducted an interactive school workshop at BRG Ettenreichgasse (Vienna), engaging 21 students in critical discussions on digital ethics and online responsibility.
The event was part of the Akademie im Klassenzimmer initiative by the Austrian Academy of Science and DIACOMET. During the workshop “DIGITAL REALITY CHECK – Your Decisions Online”, students debated fictional case studies based on findings from the DIACOMET project. These scenarios allowed them to explore ethical dilemmas in digital spaces, reflect on potential consequences and critically examine their own decision-making processes.
The workshop demonstrated how research can be effectively transformed into educational practice, fostering ethical reflection, civic resilience and responsible participation in digital media societies.
