On 26 February 2026, our partners from the University of Ljubljana hosted a presentation and consultation at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, Slovenia, focusing on combating disinformation with a focus on the pre-election era.

The event centered on the publication “Fighting Disinformation – How Journalists and Other Actors Can Contribute to Identifying Disinformation and Limiting the Damage of Disinformation Campaigns,” co-authored by members of the project team. The discussion explored the role of journalists and other key stakeholders in recognising disinformation and mitigating the impact of coordinated disinformation campaigns.

The event was attended primarily by journalists, as well as representatives of the Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government Communication Office.
