Democracy, trust and resilience at Emma 2026

DIACOMET partners presented project findings at the European Media Management Association’s 2026 conference in Lappeenranta, Finland, held from 27 to 29 May.

Two DIACOMET-related presentations addressed key challenges for democratic communication: the conditions needed for meaningful public dialogue and democratic resilience, and the role of organisational support in protecting journalists from SLAPP lawsuits.

The contributions brought DIACOMET research into international discussions on media, trust and the protection of journalism in increasingly fragmented societies.
