Increasing dialogue about Slovene media regulation (VIDEO)

DIACOMET partner University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, held a public debate on the proposal of the Slovene Mass Media Act.

Representatives of relevant institutions, including the Ministry of Culture, National Assembly, Slovene Association of Journalists, Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (AKOS), Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences, media industry and legal experts discussed issues related to regulation of media concentration, the role of AKOS, state aid schemes for media and other open matters.

The event, organised under the auspices of DIACOMET, was a great opportunity to strengthen and increase the dialogue about Slovene media legislation with the aim of creating appropriate regulation for the Slovene national context.
