On June 21nd 2024, Diacomet project member Elina Tolonen (Tampere University) was interviewed by Helsingin Sanomat about the ethical problems related to social media influencers’ collaborations with advertisers. Tolonen argues that a lack of transparency poses risks on the reputation of all media actors, whether they be institutional or non-institutional.
