The DIACOMET project aims to build an international network of non-profit organizations to increase good communication and public trust in society. The network is led by Hungarian Europe Society (HES; Hungary) and Praxis Think Tank (Praxis; Estonia). In collaboration with academic institutions, practitioners and two cooperating NGO partners, DIACOMET combines academic research, communication practice, and citizens’ participation. To expand our NGO circle, HES and Praxis are seeking connections with relevant professionals who could be involved in the international work of this NGO network promoting dialogue and good communication in public sphere.
WHAT DO WE DO?
– Participate in developing and test an interactive dilemma game to teach ethical decision-making in a risk free and playful environment.
– Empower youth, minorities, and disadvantaged communities.
– Participate in developing an innovative type of civic accountability mechanism.
– Support individuals, groups and organizations in implementing DIACOMET’s Principles of Good Communication Conduct.
– Counter disinformation and polarization in media and society.
– Monitor the media and reflect on necessary EU policy interventions.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING?
– Connect with NGOs across Europe and share best practices.
– Opportunity to test and contribute to the dilemma game which helps to recognize and analyse value conflicts and possible moral choices using the dilemma method.
– Gain early access to project findings and communication guidelines – Principles of Good Communication Conduct.
– Be part of a democratic community promoting ethical and inclusive media.
