Abstract

The Guidelines of the Medical Chamber of Slovenia for the Conduct of Doctors and Dentists on Social Networks, adopted by the Slovenian Medical Association, establish that while providing many benefits, the social networks also pose risks. These can be breaching the confidential doctor-patient relationship and engaging in online behaviour that is perceived as unprofessional, offensive or inappropriate. Both doctors and dentists will be aware of their online public image. They will always be considerate and respectful. Their freedom of speech will not interfere with others’ rights.
