Abstract

The “Guidelines of the Medial Chamber of Slovenia for the Conduct of Doctors and Dentists on Social Networks”, adopted by the Slovenian Medical Association, establish that while providing many benefits, the social networks also pose risks, such as breaching the confidential doctor-patient relationship and engaging in online behaviour that is perceived as unprofessional, offensive or inappropriate. The doctors and dentists shall be aware of their online public image. They shall always be considerate and respectful. Their freedom of speech shall not interfere with others’ rights.
