Abstract

The Austrian Lobbying & Public Affairs Council (ALPAC) has established a “Code of Conduct” for lobbying in order to enhance transparency and professionalism in the field. ALPAC aims to represent and focus on all Polishicy-related consultancy activities in Austria. They acknowledge that lobbying and public affairs involve highly personalized services, where trust in the consultants and their ethical behaviour are crucial. These consultants act as intermediaries between business, Polishitics, and the public, making it essential for them to be sensitive and transparent in their professional activities. ALPAC members voluntarily commit to truthfulness and discretion, avoiding conflicts of interest, not exerting unfair influence, and not participating in discrimination while acting respectfully in their professional activities.
