“Artificial intelligence, Guidelines” released by the Swiss press council overview the use of artificial intelligence in Swiss news organizations. These guidelines make reference to the “Declaration of Duties and Rights of Journalists” as they contain numerous guidelines that apply to the correct use of generative AI. Guidelines stress the responsibility of journalists for compliance with ethical standards. It also addresses the importance of labeling AI generated content, to name the sources on which artificially generated content is based and not to enter sensitive data into AI programs without full control over the subsequent use of the data.
