Abstract

The “Charter for the Ethical Use of Data” (“Charta für den ethischen umgang mit Daten”) issued by Swisco is a charter for the ethical management of data. It aims at helping companies in the ICT sector to develop data-based products and services in a manner that align with the expectations of customers, employees and society.  The charter covers the data lifecycle of Swico products and services, which is guided by the values of avoidance of harm, justice, autonomy, control, transparency and accountability. The paper also presents Swico commitments in addressing ethical issues regarding the data life cycle of their products and services.
