Abstract

The “Charter” (“Leitbild/Charte/Carta”) published by Impressum, a professional association of journalists of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The documents sets out guidelines, goals and fundamental values of the association. The main objectives include bringing journalists together on a common ethical basis, promoting their interests and increasing the recognition of journalistic professions. The association promotes independence, press freedom and solidarity among journalists, both nationally and internationally. Core values include political and economic independence, freedom and plurality of the press, solidarity and social partnership.
