Abstract

The “Code of Ethical Principles of Child Advocacy by the Human Rights Ombudsman” applies to all participants in child advocacy. The work of the advocate shall not be influenced by political, religious, ideological, personal or other circumstances. The advocate is obliged to treat the child with dignity and respect; protect the child’s integrity and the right to privacy; take into account the child’s needs; provide the child with relevant information; protect the child from inappropriate treatment; and seek to prevent media publication of information harmful to the child.
