Abstract

The Deontological Charter for Le Temps’s Blogs has been issued by the daily newspaper Le Temps. The Charter sets out rules for bloggers publishing on the platform. Such rules encompass the respect the editorial line of the blog, avoiding plagiarism, respecting user comments except when contrary to the law, correcting incorrect information, avoiding using images or content without rights, refusing any advantage or promise that could limit bloggers’ independence. The rules also concern citing sources, the need to publish regularly, taking responsibility for published content, responding to requests regarding citation of sources or compliance with the law and promoting discussion by taking part in the comments.
