Abstract

der Achte (Reference to the eighth district in Vienna) is an independent local newspaper in Vienna’s 8th district with a circulation of 25,000. The newspaper aims to provide local and easy-to-understand subjects connected to culture, lifestyle, social issues, and city life. The Editorial Statutes point out that the newspaper is committed to truthful reporting and opposes all forms of discrimination. Advertisements and ad-oriented supplements must be clearly identified and approved by the editorial team. der Achte is also committed to the Code of Honor of the Austrian Press Council.
