Abstract

The Austrian Red Cross has adopted a legally non-binding recommendation for gender-equitable wording in their organization. This recommendation emphasizes the principle of humanity and treating all individuals with equal respect and appreciation, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, political conviction, gender, sexual orientation, social status, age, life experience, or education. This commitment to diversity is reflected in the personnel strategy, marketing, selection, and development of the organization.
