Abstract

Medizin-transparent’ by Cochrane Österreich at the Department for Evidence-Based Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology (Danube University Krems) is an online service platform, that provides evidence-based health information to expose health myths. The aim is to provide readers with objective and easy-to-understand information so that they can make informed decisions for themselves. Steps such as systematic research, cross-checking, quality assessment and selection of evidence are the basis for the work. Besides numbers and risk information, the accurate consideration of age and gender differences is particularly sensitive. Credibility and transparency are also maintained.
