Abstract

The Fribourger Nachrichten has issued a “Mission Statement” (“Leitbild”) which states the organization aims to provide high quality journalism to the audience and allow participation in the local social and political life. It states that they aim to provide audiences with reliable and comprehensive information and to promote responsible, fair and tolerant journalism and stresses the importance of the media in shaping public opinion. Other missions include focusing on their customers’ needs and sustainable profitability.
