Abstract

The “NRC Code” was created by the Dutch national newspaper NRC and outlines the rules and responsibilities of all journalistic employees. The principles apply to all journalism publish by NRC, both in print newspapers and on the website or in apps. The Code aims to capture the character and core values of the newspaper for editors, staff, subscribers and readers. The code points out that NRC is dedicated to four core values: independence, integrity, transparency, and responsibility.
